How to claim your lost property
To claim lost property, please use the contact form on our help and support page and select "Lost Property". Please include as much detail as possible.

How long does it take?
Please note that it can sometimes take several days from the initial loss, to the item arriving at the Lost Property Office.
Photographic identification will be required on collection of the item.
For high value items such as mobile phones, proof of ownership may be required.
Lost property is usually held for one calendar month from the date of its loss. Potentially dangerous items, such as lighters, eCigarettes and perishable goods will be kept at our discretion which might only be until the end of the day that they have been handed in.
In accordance with the The Public Service Vehicles (Lost property) Regulations 1978, In some of our operating areas, First will charge a fee depending on the value of the property - to a maximum of £2 + VAT. This helps towards our costs involved in handling and storing lost property.
